Elevation Youth Corp offer a platform, opportunities, events & workshops geared toward the Youth who are interested in Creative Arts and Multimedia. Our initiative is community service and anti-violence based. Once youth's complete our Summer Program they have an option to become official EYC Youth members! All EYC youth members are invited to stay engaged with our organization all year round. We offer several annual community events, community service opportunities as well as many youth based workshops and opportunities. Our summer program is free to Washtenaw County residents. Open registration begins every year on April 1st - June 1st or until our program space is full. There is a $25 registration fee for non-residents of Washtenaw County. Parents must attend our Orientation and registered youth's must attend our Adopted-A-Highway clean up set up prior to our Summer Program workshops which run every Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Once we have recieved your registration form and proof of residency, your youth(s) is all set! Our program schedule will be sent back to parents via email. Full details of our program and official registration forms will be provided at our orientations!
Our introduction to film workshop, taught by our founder/president Keith Ragland is where youth's will explore beginner lessons on how to write, produce and edit short films. Our group film project will have a creative anti violence theme. Youth's will explore working in front & behind the camera. They will gain first hand knowledge from professional independent film makers in metro Detroit. .
EYC Youth members participated in our Spoken Word /Healthy living workshop Instructed by EMU Students, and lead by Her Space Director, Miss Zeporah Pain. Writing exercises which emphasized mental health were explored along with spoken word and impromptu activities. Youths learned ways to express themselves in healthy and positive ways through this two session workshop! They also enjoyed a field trip to The Corner Health Center in Ypsilanti to learn all about the Center's programs and outreach resources.
Welcome to our Paint Workshop with guest Paint Instructor and freelance artist, Brandy Clay. EYC Youth Members are supplied with their own paint sets, to enjoy a fun packed paint session which includes self portraits and an Anti-Violence themed abstract painting!
EYC youth members participate in our Adopted-A-Highway Summer clean-up! We have a deep passion for changing lives and believe that giving back helps the youth to create a sense of responsibility and empathy.
Our Car Wash fundraiser has taken place at UAW Local 3000 for the past three years! This year our Car Wash will take place at the UAW Local 898. The fundraiser is put in place to give our youth members a sense of how hard work pays off. Proceeds goes towards our annual field trip!
Our summer program youth members enjoy a field trip for all their hard work and dedication to our program! We have traveled to Cedar Point, CJ Barrymore's and Dave & Busters In the past by charter bus! Can't wait to see where will we land for our 2023 field trip!
We will host our EYC Summer Program Banquet to celebrate our accomplishments and show our appreciation to our youth members, their families, workshop instructors and EYC sponsors! Youth members are awarded certificates and are given an exciting opportunity to stay engaged in positive activities, programs, and events with EYC and or our community partners throughout the year!

Our Fashion & Design Workshops introduced EYC youth members to many sides of the fashion industry! Youths learned basic cat walk skills, and photography posing with instructor, Yolanda Ragland and Miss Jackson/Crossroads winner, Peyton Lowder. Youths also recieved a presentation on health from the Corner Health Center
Our Technology Workshop was offered in 2022 curteousy of uniteSTEM. EYC youth members dive into the world of robotics and more with an introductory STEM workshop. Youths got hands on experience with building robots! How cool.
